How mixing works
Peptides come as a dry powder. You add water so you can measure a dose.
- Your vial contains dry powder. You cannot draw powder into a syringe.
- You add bac water. The powder dissolves.
- Now you can draw an exact amount into the syringe.
Why is it a powder?
- Dry powder keeps far longer than liquid. Water is what lets a peptide break down.
- Sealed and dry, a vial stays stable for a long time at room temperature or in the fridge.
- Once you add water, the clock starts. Mixed vials go in the fridge and get used within a few weeks.
- Shipping dry also means heat during delivery is much less of a problem.
Why bac water and not regular water?
- Backwater is sterile water with a tiny amount of benzyl alcohol in it.
- That benzyl alcohol stops bacteria from growing, so the vial stays clean each time the needle goes in.
- Tap or bottled water is not sterile. Even distilled water has nothing in it to stop bacteria.
- Plain sterile water has no preservative, so it is meant for one use and one draw only.
